Staffordshires #1 Gutter Cleaning Company
How We Clean Your Gutters
As a company, we invest in the latest gutter cleaning tools and technology this being one of the reasons we are steps ahead of many other companies who simply use ladders on all jobs and struggle with hard to reach gutters such as over extensions, conservatory’s and reaching 3/4 story buildings gutters.
That’s not to say we don’t still use ladders from time to time for certain gutter jobs but our vans are fully equipped with gutter vacuums for those hard to reach gutters that many companies simply cannot reach. There is no need for expensive scaffolding or cherry pickers when using our company to empty your gutters as some other companies suggest to reach those hard to reach places.
Once we are happy that all the debris and muck has been removed, all down pipes are checked and a water flow check is carried out to ensure no blockages or leaks are present.
Before we pack away photos are taken to show you that all your guttering’s are fully cleared from all that unwanted muck.

How Often Should Your Gutters Be Cleared?

Our Gutter Repairs Service
Alongside gutter cleaning we also offer a gutter repairs service
Our gutter repair costs start from as little as £10
Some of the repairs we offer:
Leaking gutter joints
Most leaking gutter joints are usually down to one of two things either the gutter seal is missing or perished or the guttering has been cut too short and doesn’t quite meet the join as it should. If it is just the seal that is causing the issue, it’s a simple case of replacing the seal on the joint which 9 times out of 10 resolves the leak. If it is a case of the installer has cut the length too short then the length would need replacing to achieve a water tight seal.
Overflowing hopper head
Over flowing hopper heads only usually overflow when there is a blockage which prevents the water from flowing as it should which in turn causes the water to overflow over the top of the hopper. The second cause is the hopper is not big enough to deal with the amount of rain water that has been directed into it which also causes over flowing.
Blocked outlets
If you have had your gutters cleaned by our company then this is part of the service, we always check outlets and downpipes for blockages simply because if the gutters are full of moss, leaves and other debris then the rain water naturally flows to the outlet dragging the muck with it which in turn can causes blockages.
Leaking Downpipes
Again, these are usually caused by either a blockage further down the downpipe which isn’t allowing the water to exit so it backflows and leaks from a loose joint. This is easily resolved by removing the blockage and sealing the joints. If for some reason the incorrect size/profile guttering has been used and doesn’t fit correctly to the joining bends this can also causes leaks which would then need replacing.
Loose Downpipes
If the downpipe isn’t secured correctly to the joint or the wall downpipe brackets have worked loose, these can then slide down causing the downpipe to come away from the outlet meaning all water flowing from the guttering will be pouring down straight onto the floor and not down the drains as it should.
Full replacements of PVC guttering
Gutter adjustments
If your guttering isn’t fitted with the correct fall then you will have water sat in your gutters that isn’t able to flow as it should. Once the winter comes and the water that is sat in your guttering freezes, it is then when it can cause many problems with your gutters. A lot of the time a simple case of re-angling the fall to get the water to flow, a 10mm fall every 6m of gutter will help the water to drain efficiently.
Full gutter replacements
If maintained, uPVC guttering tends to last around 25-35 years, around this time the rubber seals start to perish and the PVC itself becomes brittle, this is when cracks start to appear and if the gutters haven’t been maintained can fail under the weight of all the muck and water held in them. If the gutters are starting to leak in several place this is usually a sign that they are coming to the end of their life and it's time for a full replacement.
PVC gutters are available in many different styles and colour’s from your standard half round white PVC gutters to square lined, ogee and deep flow in up to 7 different colours. Deep flow gutters are usually used on larger steep pitched roofs which have a large rainfall run off. A standard half round gutter is normally 112mm width x 52mm depth where the deep flow gutters are normally 115mm width x 75mm depth enabling them to deal with double the amount of water.
